The City of Sacramento is seeking an Integrated Waste General Manager to perform responsible and complex administrative and management duties over a major division in the Public Works Department. The duties of this position include planning, coordinating, directing and reviewing the activities of the Recycling and Solid Waste Division; developing division policies, procedures goals and objectives; maintaining liaison and coordinating projects; and providing professional and technical staff assistance to the Director of Public Works.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONExperience: Seven years of supervisory and administrative experience in the operation of a large public works utility or facility.
Education: A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a closely related field.

The Recycling and Solid Waste Division is in the Department of Public Works, City of Sacramento. The division provides weekly curbside containerized collection of commingled recyclables, solid waste and yard waste for approximately 124,000 residential customers; seasonal loose-in-the-street yard waste and bulky item pick-up; and sweeping of City streets six times per year.
