The City of Rialto, California is seeking a proven professional to become their next Director of Maintenance and Facilities. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has a strong background in directing and managing maintenance operations and programs including Fleet, Streets/Traffic, contracted solid waste operations and other assigned public works functions.
Reporting to the Deputy City Manager, the Director of Maintenance and Facilities assumes full management responsibility for all department services and activities including maintenance of various City facilities, administration of the City’s fleet maintenance division, maintenance of all City public streets and alley ways, and the administration of the City’s contract solid waste operations. The Director of Maintenance and Facilities works under general direction, receiving assignments in the form of specifications and plans or instructions to follow established policy. The general scope and purpose of assignments and the method of approach are discussed with subordinate supervisors in a collaborative manner to resolution, and the ultimate responsibility of the Director.
