This position is Essential and is required to report to duty before, during, and immediately after a civil emergency.
This is managerial and advanced technical work coordinating and implementing solid waste collection, recycling and yard trash programs. This position is also responsible for contract management of multi-year solid waste collection contract(s) and enforcement of ordinances relating to solid waste collection. Facilitates the development of public trust and confidence in the City’s Solid Waste Program.
The salary for this position is $71,941-$82,732 depending on qualifications.

Associate’s degree and three years’ experience in solid waste. An equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job may be substituted. Valid Florida Driver's License and maintenance of clean driving record required.
Certification as a Recycling Coordinator by the State of Florida is preferred.
